Interesting Facts: This very interesting plant is pollinated by slugs which eat fuzzy growth on the inside the bloom. It is also an alternative food source for the Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly. It spreads by rhizomes underground that have a very pungent odor when broken. This plant occurs in localized populations in various areas of the preserve.
