Interesting Facts: There are many stories about how this plant got it's name, one of which states that Queen Anne and England decorated her hair with the large, white flowers. Another says that Queen Anne was sewing lace and pricked her finger with her needle, hence the dark red "blood" spot in the center of the flower. This plant is common in the meadow area of the preserve.
