Interesting Facts: The fruit of this species bears a striking resemblance to the Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana) which is a native species to the preserve. Indian Strawberries tend to be small than the wild strawberries and have much less taste. In addition to the berry, the flower of this species is yellow which differs from the white flower of the Wild Strawberry.
