Interesting Facts: There are many Tick-Trefoil species in the Cincinnati area and within the preserve. This legume prefers the dry soil of the meadow habitat. The seeds of this, and most other Tick-Trefoil species are covered with Velcro-like hairs that are adapted to stick to animal fur and human clothing to ensure a broad area of seed dispersal.
