Interesting Facts: This violet is known by many common names and is better served by being referred to in scientific nomenclature. It occurs in all areas of the preserve, especially the deep woodland habitat. This species is very similar to the Canada Violet (Viola canadensis) but lacks any yellow coloring in the center of the flower.
